LOCATION: WORLD / EUROPE / UK / NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Silverstone lies about halfway between Northampton and Oxford in central Engeland. The city of Silverstone is famous for the fact that this city hosted the first Formula 1 Grand Prix ever.

TRAVEL TO THE UK

Silverstone has no airport itself, so please choose for London (London City, Heathrow, Gatwick) or Birmingham to fly to. London is 130 KM away from Silverstone, Birmingham is located a little closer to this venue at a distance of 105 KM. The best way to get to the circuit from the airport is to rent a car. It's possible to use the public traffic, but you'll be on the way for about 2,5  to 3 hours. Every airport mentioned above offers you a train and bus station.

TRAVEL TO THE CIRCUIT
By car
If you travel from the north, exit the M40 at Junction 10 and then join the A43 to Northampton. If you take the M1 road exit at Junction 15a and follow the signs for the A43 to Oxford. Siverstone is signposted from the A43.
If you travel from the south, exit the M40 at Junction 11 and follow the A422 to join the A43 at Brackly. Join the A43 to Northampton. If you take the M1 road exit at Junction 15a and follow the signs for the A43 to Oxford. Silverstone is signposted from the A43.
By public transport

As mentioned earlier the public transport will take some time to bring you to the circuit. You can go by train from the airport to the nearest main line stations Banbury or Northampton. It does not make a diffrence from what airport you leave. From the station you can take a cab to Silverstone Circuit.
